If your Hong Kong limited company does not operate and wants to cancel, then what are the procedures for the cancellation of Hong Kong company?

If the Hong Kong company wants to cancel, it needs to be at least before the company's annual inspection is due1To the Inland Revenue Department of Hong Kong within the next month3Monthly financial statements. The Inland Revenue Department will check whether the company has any outstanding management matters (e.g., are there any outstanding employee returns? Are there any recent auditor's reports that have not been submitted? Are there any taxes outstanding?) . If there are no outstanding issues after examination, a notice of no objection will be issued. After obtaining the notice of no objection from the Inland Revenue Department, the application for company cancellation will be submitted to the Companies Registry. The cancellation will be announced by the Companies Registry upon completion of the cancellation and a cancellation receipt will be issued upon completion of the announcement.

If the Hong Kong company has actual operations, the Inland Revenue Department will require the auditor's report (i.e. the audit report, which needs to be signed by a Hong Kong certified public accountant) to be provided by the submission of the notice of No Objection to cancellation.
